1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing and using Groundfall, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

Groundfall is a scientific nuclear blast simulator built on declassified Glasstone-Dolan physics. The application offers:

40+ real weapons from 9 nuclear nations with adjustable yield and burst parameters
Blast radii, thermal burns, radiation zones, casualty estimates, and fallout modeling
Real-time wind data integration for accurate fallout patterns
Educational content on nuclear physics, fission, fusion, and the Teller-Ulam design
8 researched geopolitical conflict scenarios with nuclear winter projections
Global arsenal data with animated charts and the Doomsday Clock
Exportable simulation share cards for social media

3. Purchase and License

Groundfall is available as a one-time purchase ($3.99 USD). This purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application on your personal devices. There are no subscriptions, no additional in-app purchases, and no advertisements.

4. Educational Purpose

Groundfall is designed exclusively for education and awareness. All simulation content is based on declassified scientific publications. While we strive for accuracy, Groundfall is not a military planning tool and cannot be held responsible for the precision of its simulations. The app is intended to illustrate the consequences of nuclear weapons to promote peace and disarmament.

5. Real-Time Data

The application fetches real-time wind data from Open-Meteo and geocoding data from OpenStreetMap Nominatim. This data is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Data availability depends on third-party API uptime.

6. Casualty Estimates

All casualty figures are statistical estimates based on population density data and published nuclear effects models. They represent approximate projections, not precise predictions. These numbers are presented to convey the human cost of nuclear weapons and should be interpreted in that educational context.

7. Intellectual Property

The application design, code, original educational content, simulation engine, and user interface are the intellectual property of Kodjovi Mlapa. Nuclear physics formulas derived from declassified publications remain in the public domain. OpenStreetMap data is used under the ODbL license.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or redistribute the application or its content. The share card feature is intended for educational advocacy — you agree not to use exported content to promote violence or threaten individuals or groups.

9. Limitation of Liability

Groundfall is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. In no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the application. The simulations are for educational purposes only.

10. Age Rating

Groundfall is rated 12+ due to its subject matter involving nuclear weapons and their effects. The content is presented in a scientific and educational context without graphic imagery.

11. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store according to their refund policies.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws of the user's country of residence.
